چکیده

We report on the measurement of beam spin asymmetry in deeply virtual Compton scattering off He4 using CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) at Jefferson Lab a 6 GeV longitudinally polarized electron incident pressurized gaseous target. detail method used to ensure exclusivity measured reactions, particular upgrade CLAS with radial time projection chamber detect low-energy recoiling nuclei and an inner calorimeter extend photon detection acceptance forward angles. Our results confirm theoretically predicted enhancement coherent (eHe4→e′He4′γ′) asymmetries compared those observed free proton, while incoherent (eHe4→e′p′γ′X′) exhibit 30% suppression. From data, we were able extract, model-independent way, real imaginary parts only form factor, HA, leading way toward 3D imaging partonic structure nuclei.16 MoreReceived 19 February 2021Accepted July 2021DOI:https://doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevC.104.025203©2021 American Physical SocietyPhysics Subject Headings (PhySH)Research AreasForm factorsLepton induced nuclear reactionsPerturbative QCDQCD reactionsNuclear PhysicsParticles & Fields

Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering with Positron Beams at Jefferson Lab

The challenge of understanding nucleon electromagnetic structure still continues after more than five decades of experimental scrutiny. From the initial measurements of elastic form factors to the accurate determination of parton distributions through deep inelastic scattering, the experiments have increased in statistical and systematic accuracy. Only during the past decade it was realized tha...

Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering at Jefferson Lab, Results and Prospects

The recently developed formalism of “Generalized Parton Distributions” (GPDs) [1–3] showed that information on quark-quark correlations, the transverse quark momentum distribution, and contributions of correlated quark-antiquark pairs (mesons) to the nucleon wave function can be obtained in hard exclusive leptoproduction experiments. GPDs provide a unifying framework for the interpretation of a...

Analysis of Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering Data at Jefferson Lab and Proton Tomography

The CLAS and Hall A collaborations at Jefferson Laboratory have recently released new results for the ep → epγ reaction. We analyze these new data within the Generalized Parton Distribution formalism. Employing a fitter algorithm introduced and used in earlier works, we are able to extract from these data new constraints on the kinematical dependence of three Compton Form Factors. Based on expe...

Deeply virtual compton scattering off the neutron.

The present experiment exploits the interference between the deeply virtual Compton scattering (DVCS) and the Bethe-Heitler processes to extract the imaginary part of DVCS amplitudes on the neutron and on the deuteron from the helicity-dependent D(e,e'gamma)X cross section measured at Q2=1.9 GeV2 and xB=0.36. We extract a linear combination of generalized parton distributions (GPDs) particularl...

Deeply virtual Compton scattering off nuclei

We consider the hard leptoproduction of a photon off nuclei up to spin-1. As a new result we present here the general azimuthal angular dependence of the differential cross section for a spin-1 target. Its twist-two Fourier coefficients of the interference and squared deeply virtual Compton scattering amplitude are evaluated in leading order approximation of perturbation theory in terms of gene...
